APPLICATION

The PVS Process Equipment 19-01 Series Bedding Dump Station is commonly used in life science research cage wash operations as a means to dispose of soiled bedding material under controlled conditions. Cages can be unloaded manually or by automated equipment.

DESIGN

The Model 19-01 Bedding Dump Station is provided with a removable stainless steel grating over the hopper to prevent the inadvertent dropping of cages or cage card holders into the system. An integral metering screw feeder is included in this configuration to break up clumps of waste bedding, feed or enrichment. The variable speed drive allows for precise control of material injection into the downstream conveying system. Integral downdraft hoods provide allergen control when used with a vacuum bedding system or separate dust collection unit.
